Our Story - The Wandering Angler
Wandering Angler is a family owned and operated guide service, founded in 2009 by Marc Titre. Before laying down roots in Jackson Hole, Marc guided for several high-end fishing lodges in Colorado and Oregon. What began as a personal love for fly fishing—exploring as many creeks and rivers as possible, targeting native trout, and spending time outside—grew into a love for sharing those experiences with others, no matter their experience level. The original goal for Wandering Angler was simple: make each day on the water one to remember. Over the years, Wandering Angler has become a place for guides and guests to share hard-earned knowledge, unforgettable stories from the water, and a deep respect for the places we experience along the way.
In 2019, Kirstin Wade joined Wandering Angler, bringing fresh perspective, shared passion, and a collaborative spirit to the company. After spending years on the glacial rivers around Glacier Park, Montana, she found her place along the banks of the Snake River. Marc and Kirstin have continued to grow the Wandering Angler team while staying rooted in what mattered from the beginning: curiosity, enjoyment, and a genuine love for the outdoors. Wandering Angler keeps Marc and Kirstin busy in the summer, and in the winter months, they stay true to the name. You can find them bouncing between the saltwater flats of Louisiana and Florida to the coastal rivers of Northern British Columbia. Together, they travel in their truck camper with their Mastiff, Duke, and as many rods, reels, and flies as four wheels can carry.

Our Philosphy
At Wandering Angler, we believe fly fishing is for everyone – from first timers to lifelong anglers. It’s about slowing down, observing, and building a relationship with the river and the people we share it with. Whether we’re exploring new waters or returning to familiar ones, drifting in a boat or wading from the shore, our approach is guided by respect: for wild places, for fish, and for the guests that choose to spend their day with us. Our guides live and breathe fly fishing, which means they are just as stoked seeing you land a fish as if it were them on the rod. In the end, we want our guests to enjoy their time on the water, day after day, year after year!
